Historic Polegreen
The Polegreen Foundation has been the grateful recipient of the advice and counsel of the staff of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. Through them the services of internationally known architect Carlton Abbott were obtained. Abbott designed the present unique enhancement over the site of the ancient Polegreen Church. For the first time in 137 years there is something to see on the place which represents one of the great chapters of American history. With growing concern over urban sprawl, which had already begun to have an impact on the surroundings of the old church, the Foundation set out to acquire the view shed around the original site. To date nearly 110 acres have been preserved.
The Foundation welcomes you into its enlarging family. We hope you will be captivated by the preservation and interpretation of one of America's most important historic sites.

Virginia Holocaust Museum
The Museum provides walk-in visitors with a choice of two types of self-guided tours- an audio tour, or a guidebook tour. The audio tour features Jay Ipson, Holocaust Survivor and Executive Director of the Museum, in a 70-minute, pre-recorded tour guiding guests through the exhibits. The guidebook includes a map of the Museum and literature about each room. A 14-minute documentary precedes both tours.

The Woman's Club of Richmond at Bolling Haxall House
The Bolling Haxall House, an imposing Italianate mansion in the heart of downtown Richmond, was built in 1858 for prosperous business leader Bolling Walker Haxall whose fortune was lost during the Civil War. Following ownership by Dr. Francis Willis, the house was purchased in 1900 by The Woman's Club, courageously founded in 1894 for the serious education of women. In 1915 the club added an elegant ballroom to host weekly speakers of national and international renown.
